Cable Carnival Junior Athlete Agreement

I, the undersigned Parent/Guardian, give permission for my child ("the Athlete") to participate in the Cable Carnival 2025 Side Quest at North Devon Wake Park. I confirm:

• The Athlete is medically and physically fit to participate in wakeboarding activities.

• The Athlete will follow all health, safety, and conduct rules issued by the Organiser and Wake Park staff.

• I understand this is a non-paid appearance and no travel, accommodation, or expenses will be provided.

I fully understand and accept that:

• Wakeboarding involves inherent risks, including physical impact, collision, environmental hazards, and falls.

• The Athlete participates voluntarily and entirely at their own risk.

• The Organiser does not carry public liability or personal accident insurance for athletes.

• North Devon Wake Park, as the venue, maintains public liability insurance only in relation to incidents caused by defects or faults in its infrastructure, features, or cable system.

I agree not to hold the Organiser, staff, sponsors, or affiliates liable for injury, loss, or damage except in cases of proven negligence relating to operational conduct.

In the case of illness or injury:

• I authorise qualified first aiders or emergency responders at the event to provide initial treatment.

• I consent to the Athlete being transported to hospital or receiving emergency care if deemed necessary.

• I agree to inform the Organiser of any pre-existing health conditions or medications relevant to the Athlete's participation.

I acknowledge and accept that:

• It is my responsibility to arrange any personal accident, medical, or equipment insurance for the Athlete.

• No coverage is provided by the Organiser or the event for personal injury, property loss, or travel disruption.

• Any costs arising from injury or medical treatment are my sole responsibility.

I give permission for the Athlete’s name, image, voice, and performance to appear in:

• Livestreams, event recaps, and social content produced by the Organiser

• Photography and videography taken during the event for promotional purposes

• Highlight reels or media projects linked to Cable Carnival 2025

I agree that:

• The Athlete will behave respectfully and safely toward other riders, staff, spectators, and equipment.

• The Athlete will wear appropriate safety gear (helmet, impact vest) while riding.

• The Athlete will not be left unsupervised by the Organiser outside of formal riding or scheduled event areas.

• Any safeguarding or behavioural concerns will be reported to the Event Safeguarding Lead immediately.

I consent to the Organiser collecting and using the Athlete’s personal data for:

• Event logistics, safety protocols, and media publication

• Secure storage of emergency contact or medical details

• Limited marketing and archival purposes as described in event documentation

All data will be managed in accordance with UK GDPR regulations. I may request access, correction, or removal at any time.
